This one of a kind hand enameled medal is set with a beautiful diamond bezel. Faith is inscribed on the back. According to legend, in 1639, a peasant from Argentina, wishing to revive his neighbors' "belief in their early faith" ordered two statues from Brazil, one of the Immaculate Conception, the other the Blessed Virgin and her Son. Many miracles have been attributed to the statue, which now resides nearby in a cathedral built for the shrine in 1910.
